Dealing with racists in that situation isn’t solely down to him and first and foremost the authorities should deal with it properly, he’s right about that.
I suspect his interview has been taken out of context, I don’t believe (or maybe I don’t want to believe) that racism is ruining his football experience. I’m sure there are people less fortunate than him that suffer significantly more too. However, there is no amount of money someone is being paid that makes abuse of any kind ok.
If his comments mean something is done about it then that can only be a good thing, no?
