I stay a mile away from Huawei if I have a choice. I don't like their company culture. I

worked with them a lot, and have friends who worked or still work with them. When they actually install a key logger on their own employee laptops - not secretly as they inform the employees about it - then it already tells me that on a corporate level they see eavesdropping as perfectly acceptable, and suggests that they are so untrustworthy as to expect their employees to be the same. They are also very top down and micro management oriented. You do what your boss tells you.

And yeah I have been guilty of managing projects which installed their telecoms components (hardware) as well, but had no choice.

It is the one manufacturer I wouldn't go near. I've had iPhones for years but that's cos I used to get them for free / very cheap and by now am just comfortable with how they work. Let's face it - all the high end smart phones are comparable these days. They each have their strengths and weaknesses and all have the same ridiculous prices (from my telecoms background I could understand how they justified up to about the 800 quid price point but the new ones are just f**king crazy prices).
