it's a bit odd.

you might think from the state of the table that the gap between top and bottom is increasing. but the current tv deal has probably closed things up bit. one thing that seems to have declined is the amount of absolute thrashings (by which i mean the likes of 7 or 8 to nil) - there hasn't been a win by that margin for about 5 years
