...a few young lads rejoined our coach after the game in high spirtis, singing as they made their way to the back of the coach. Trouble was they got carried away with getting the rest of the coach to join in (some of which had), by banging on the windows etc, at which point the coach enforcer leapt from his seat near the front and stormed towards them, pointing a stern finger and yelling at them to stop. Which they did and then noone sang at all for the rest of the journey.
I've been on plenty of Cabbages before with better spirits though that did allow singing and what not, over the years, tbf though.
But I'm older now, sit nearer the front than the back like I used to (well, in a scrum to get on, you grab the first seats available) and like the ability to chill as the journey can drift by much more easily, as it did in both directions. I didn't mind them singing, to be clear.
Oh, better point out no alcohol or hot food allowed on board. Think I used to smuggle 'soft' drinks bottles spiked with 'hard' drink back in the days when I'd do the same for home games and people off here would only ever know me in a right state in Squares before and after.
