it's not an analogy, it's an example of what will happen

in a hard Brexit scenario if drug supplies are interrupted. People will die*.

The more likely scenario is simply that the drug supplies become more expensive (airfreight, supply & demand) which means the NHS will have less money than it should have had and can buy less drugs/nurses/doctors, which means, well, people will die*.

(*sooner than they would have done, obv. Everyone dies.)
