Yeah this is fair

and the tension between a London-centric view of England, let alone the UK, and what the majority of people (who neither live nor work in London) would prefer, has some way to go before resolution, I think. I'm not sure it's ever really been discussed in the right terms, though funnily enough Brexit is sharpening focus on these kinds of issues (so many Labour-voting, Leave-voting areas are also the regions which actually benefit the most from EU structural/other funding, for example).
