I dont mean one on one, but why was there not a cross parliament commission to explore different sets of reds lines, what each meant in terms of feasible deals, what trade offs would need to be made one way or the other under different sets of choices. She could have actually asked people what kind of Brexit do you want, given this set of hard choices.
Instead she's pretended that there are no hard choices. That her red lines are the only ones. That her deal (and really, it is her deal) is the only one. That she and only she knows what kind of Brexit people want, and what they think about the trade offs.
It's been an absolutely sickening failure of leadership from start to finish - a f**king Red White and Blue Brexit. Childish, facile, empty, and focused on one thing only, trying to keep the Tories together for a few more days at a time, with the lie that Brexit could be all things to all people. When what she should have been doing was working out what is best for the country, and what red lines the people want.
Lie after lie after lie after lie. Intended to run down the clock till there's no choice left.
Does that help?
