she shouldn't have been so intransigent with her 'red lines'

which were arbitrarily chosen based on her own personal interpretation of the referendum vote. But which were never going to command a majority in parliament.

She should have involved the other parties from the start and agreed on a set of cross-party 'red lines' which would have been supported by most MPs. Something like the Norway plus option.

She was too single minded and authoritarian on a subject which was always going to need compromise.
