That's exactly her problem

At the very start she should have reached out and tried to identify some kind of consensus across party lines and across the UK's regions. Hell, a lot of the Leave voting regions are also Labour voting regions: a real opportunity for a canny Tory to make serious inroads if played right; though anyone wanting any kind of label along the lines of "statesmanlike" would have taken parties out of it: citizens assemblies, indicative polls supported by televised debates between actual experts and not politicians, whatever.

She bears no blame at all for the referendum but an awful lot of blame for the utter pigs ear that's been made of it since.
