Ever since we first hit top whilst they'd sunk to rock bottom, back at 16 games played on 3rd Nov, I wanted to track back across the seasons for similar scenarios. I've finally got round to that research and here's what I found, data first, then summary:

So obviously, the asterisked seasons are the ones to look at:
1956/57 is the only other occasion where there's been an East Anglian league table sandwich, with them winning Div Three South whilst we finished rock bottom of the same div but were re-elected for the following season, so weren't relegated to a non-league team, thankfully
1980/81 is the closest to perfection for them, with them runners-up to a second Div One title and fourth star whilst we were relegated from the same div, though third from bottom
1973/74 is similar but not as good for them, with them 4th in Div One whilst we were relegated from the same div, this time rock bottom
1985/86 is the only time we've swapped divisions, us romping to the Div Two title whilst they were relegated from Div One third from bottom
2001/02 we missed out on repeating this, with a Play-Off Final defeat after they'd been relegated from the Prem third from bottom
1991/92 came close with us narrowly avoiding relegation from Div 1 before the Premiership breakaway at the same time as they won Div Two, so they joined us rather than swapped places
2004/05 is the last time they came close, with one of their multiple (SIX!!) Play-Off Semi defeats after we'd been relegated from the Prem second from bottom, so we joined them rather than swapped places
...So 2018/19, if things stay as they are, will be the first time we've both left a division from either end, though not the first time we've topped & tailed it and there's only that one example of swapping divisions with three near misses.
