I didn't consider anyone else's fixtures as it was a purely fantastical sit-you-eh-shun so not worth wasting any more time on them with.

Maybe you're right about Wilder and he's just jumped the gun by a game weekend and has factored in other team's fixtures or more than likely just supremely confident they'll pick up the points required and didn't care about the actual maths of it. Judging his no nonsense character, it's the latter.
