EEN might've quoted 7 including a cup run (say a round at either end of the league games) or perhaps an undefeated run - I deliberately steered clear of counting those on top.

but the people that have compiled those have only done them back to the 90s & 88/89 - the rest of the seasons link to the overal league season pages.
I then reverted to 11v11 which, I'm sorry to report you can't claim any credit for - though I was pleased to see it used in neonyellow's original thread - as it's one I'm well familiar with. I've used it in the last decade as a source of data when compiling my extensive personal footy watching records and have been regularly popping back to it this season to grab screenshots of this beauty as each game passes with us still top & them still bottom:
