Missed another trick...

Released I only had to trawl through one more decade in order to cover our full top flight record and therefore the definitive consecutive league wins record:

1978/79 top tier
0
(though we did draw a hell of a lot of games that season, including 7 on the bounce, amongst other undefeated runs)

1977/78 top tier
2

1976/77 top tier
2 & 3

1975/76 top tier
2, 2 & 2

1974/75 2nd tier
2, 5, 2, 2, 2 & 2

1973/74 top tier
2 & 2

1972/73 1st season in top tier
2, 2, 2 & 2
...So that confirms the 5 in 92/93 is our best ever. Now to complete the promotion-to-top-flight seasons set and then round out the full decade for a half century of win-run records:

1971/72 2nd tier
5, 2, 2, 2, 3, 2 & 2

1970/71 2nd tier
2, 2, 2 & 3

1969/70 2nd tier
2, 2 & 2
