Press news in....

We have arrived at Coolknee ready for today's press conference with the media. Norwich travel to Rotherham tomorrow for their last fixture ahead of the international break.

---------------------------------------------------------------

DF: It's always nice when you get a positive and good reaction [to his contract news]. For me it was most important to focus on the game before kick-off, but in the end it cheered up the crowd and we were there with an important win so everything was good. It was a happy day for me.

DF: Our conversations were quite relaxed. For several months we knew the Club wanted me to sign a new contract and I made it clear I was happy here and wanted to sign. It was just finding the right moment to do this.

DF: I don't want to speak about any dangers [going into the Premier League] before we reach this target. We are greedy and we want to achieve as much as possible.

DF: If we were to be promoted it would be that we have reached something extraordinary. We are greedy to create something sensational. We don't feel any pressure because we know we are in a brilliant position. The less games you have the more realistic it's but we know it would mean reaching something really extraordinary.

DF: These three clubs are in the best position [Norwich, Leeds and Sheffield United], but I still know West Brom have the quality to add several wins in a row and we have to travel to Middlesbrough soon and they are capable of winning a home game.

DF: A win at Rotherham is good for us. I don't mind what happens at Elland Road because it's unpredictable what it means for the final table. We can't influence this situation and we are just focused on our Rotherham game.

DF: It's always a difficult task when you travel to a side which is fighting relegation [Rotherham]. They won't get nervous because they know they need to fight until the end. They will play with lots of commitment and fighting spirit. But we have showed this season that we are capable of handling difficult tasks.

DF: We know that we are in brilliant shape, we are respectful but we want to go further on.

DF: Emi [Buendia] is doing fantastic, not only for his goals. Also in terms of his workload against the ball and how crucial he is for our possession. Our Man of the Match and key players change from week to week so we have many strengths.

DF: Over the next nine matches we want to stick to our plan and our style of football. I want us to be brave, to play aggressive football, to dominate possession and play our style. The best thing is to concentrate on going further on with the hard work and the results will come automatically.

DF: It's a short period for recovery but we can't change this and there are no injuries so we are in a good position.

DF: I'm actually quite scared of horses and would never go on a horse. But our chairman when I worked for a small club in Germany had this idea to bring me on a horse and have a lap of honour. It was in front of a big audience and the stadium was nearly full. When he asked me to sit on the horse I couldn't deny it so I was able to beat being scared and able to sit for one lap on the horse. It was good fun to be honest but I'm not sure if I would win a race at Cheltenham.

DF: I'm surprised the fans found out about it. They must have found a picture and I've heard there is a song. It's good fun to be honest. I'm not sure what Stuart Webber's plans are but I don't think you will see me on a horse again.

DF: I'm always tempted to rotate a bit, but not because of the workload but because of the strength of the players. We have such good depth and workload in our group. I'm always tempted to have Alex Tettey because he is different in how he plays to Tom Trybull. And it's the same in the midfield with Moritz Leitner and Mario Vrancic as they are different to Kenny McLean and Todd Cantwell on the wing is a different style to Emi Buendia and Onel Hernandez. I am always thinking about this. In terms of the load I am not concerned because they are use to playing and we have really good fitness levels.

DF: We are able to handle it for one game day, especially as there is then an international break. But if we were going on I would then be a bit concerned. But we have two weeks to calm the load down. It's more about thinking if we need a change in the balance of the team and the style we play.

DF: I think about it each and every second and that's why it's sometimes difficult to sleep as a Head Coach because you always ask yourself what can be improved. But we have been successful at the moment and we have had five wins in five games.

DF: It's difficult to compare different players and I always struggle to name a man of the match. Tim Krul is outstanding for us in many topics. We have a young side and it's so good to have an experienced guy in the dressing room and it's important to give them self confidence and trust. Tim fits to our style and he was a reallg good signing. In the recent weeks he has been there with some brilliant saves and really important for us.

DF: When we think about the first goal it was a bad first touch from Tim but if we just have to think about that bad touch then we are in a good position. I am totally happy that we have Tim.

DF: We are there with many, many entertaining performances, scoring goals and dominating games. Then there's a period of 10 or 15 minutes and the supporters are asking why it's not so easy today. It's important to remember we have such a good group and go further on with supporting.

DF: It's quite normal in this game that there are sometimes mistakes. But we have to have this unity to stick together and this is important, especially for the young lads in the tricky period of the game. My feeling is our support is outstanding and it's crucial that they are there in the crunch time of the season.

DF: All credit goes to Ben [Godfrey]. It was a big transition for him to change his role and he did it in the perfect way. He had to wait a few months until there was a chance to shine in this role and since he came in he has been outstaning. The call-up [to England Under-20s] is well deserved and I am happy for Ben.

DF: In the development of the game [against Hull] our decision making was even better. I wasn't happy with it in the first 10 minutes as we had losses of the ball. We grew into the game in individual terms as well as a group and we brought our game on a different level.

DF: I will be laying on the sofa and praying no one comes back injured [during the international break.]
On the one hand it's a great honour for them to be invovled in the international teams and we have so many players called up. But you wish that Teemu Pukki or our young players like Max Aarons were given some time to calm the load down a bit.
