Of course people can disagree. That's not the point I am making

The point is about our sporting director going out and turning this into a media story when it was nothing. If Krul had been getting abuse consistently throughout the season then it may be different but he hasn't. He really hasn't despite some dodgy performances. Even on Wednesday the fans were singing his name in the first half. He's quite a popular player. There is no issue here but now one has been created.

If I was a goalkeeper, going into an important away game where the weather is going to be wet and windy (i.e. not great for goalkeeping) then I think one of the last things I would want is for a lot of the focus to be on me. Maybe Krul is different but i just don;t think its helpful and whilst webber may well think he was doing the right thing i think his actions could potentially be counter productive. I hope they aren't obviously.
