So the club want a Russ Abbott night tonight

remined me of how it used to be and that I'd copied some comments off the web some years ago via the Wrath.

Brizzle fans from 2009:

Also agree, the atmosphere Norwich fans generated today was incredible...we never had a chance of out singing that lot today!!! Deafening noise!!!

First of all, the Norwich City's first chant from behind the goal made me jump, I have never ever heard a home side against the Rovers make so much noise as today, its was frightening at full pelt.

Worthy & Doomcaster in 2004:

The fans are listed in the squad line-up as number 13 – a nice gimmick maybe, but Worthington heaped praise on their contribution to the cause.

"Our supporters, home and away, have been absolutely phenomenal," he said. "They have been magnificent, they really have.

"Even at Charlton, when we were 4-0 down, the noise level behind the team was superb. They are a big part of what we have achieved over the last four years at this football club because we are all in it together, and long that may continue."

Preston fans 2003:
"what the hell are Norwich fans on...they just sang for 90 mins with nothing to play for just an end of season match".

Danny Blanchflower back in 1960 said:
"I've played football all over the world, in Spain where the fans are reckoned to be the most partisan in the world, In Italy and in Sweden but never have I met a crowd that roared like the Norwich fans".

Old Ref Keith Hackett said after retirement “As for the most aggressive atmosphere that I’ve ever encountered, believe it or not it was at Carrow Road for Norwich City v Ipswich Town."
