It's like some kind of hinterland, somewhere between the passion of the Lower Barclay and the flask/rug set in the River End. Not used to sitting through the game and can't believe there were still shouts of "kick it long" to Krul and groans when the ball was passed across the back four!
Anyway, that and being 10 mins late due to the 3.5 hour journey taking 5+ hours aside, a great 3 points from an under par performance. Swansea made it difficult though, they'd set up to give us problems and it worked. Their high press, particularly with the wide men, saw Lewis and Aarons given more defensive duties and reduced their attacking forays.
For me, Onel wasn't quite on it but he always has potential to make something... voilà, the goal. Bundia was everywhere and was quite rightly MOTM in my opinion. Great strike! McLean looked tired to me but played okay.
The win was the main thing and some top quality s**thousing at the end to run down the clock was great game management. I think Wednesday is time to freshen things up. Vrancic in definitely, possibly Leitner as well.
Perhaps people were underestimating Swansea, but they are a good footballing side. Not unlike us but without as much pure talent. There seemed to be a bit of an expectancy in the crowd but difficult to judge properly given my immediate surroundings. Lower Barclay were in good voice, but I'm not 100% on board with this Farke on a horse business 🤔
I can look forward to Sunday's cup final in Cardiff now... Let's go Guildford Flames 🔥
Night all, OTBC
