I think that the decision has already been made.

Klose is an honourable man who wants to play his last Season for Basel.

I think he and the club have agreed that if we are promoted he stays for one more season but if we aren’t he leaves with our thanks for staying when others would have left. He is an important part of the clubs plans if only as the example that others should aspire to.
