We wanted to do something nice in honour of my mum - she died seven years ago today

It was a lovely thing to do, Norwich is such a beautiful city. Mum loved visiting and became a big City fan, to show solidarity with me :)

Mr Bwod decided to order a rum with pudding, not his usual tipple but my dad's favourite so it seemed appropriate. He went for the most expensive, not knowing much about rum but figuring it must be the best. It arrived in a little shot glass and was clear (white rum?). He was enjoying it and said it had a bit of a whisky taste. We speculated it must be something to do with the barrels it was stored in. Then the waiter reappeared looking embarrassed and holding another drink, this time in a tumbler and brown. It turns out the barman had misheard and served a tequila with a similar name.

It proves we know very little when it comes to spirits and I was definitely the world"s worst barmaid.

Did you find somewhere different for your daughter"s birthday? I'd definitely recommend taking her there at some point :)
