He'd have to write off all the debt to himself, which would cost him … really quite a lot. They don't own their ground. They have no players of any real saleable value.

Who's buying? Even for a peppercorn, with the Evans debt written off, significant investment is needed even to establish the club in the championship really, let alone challenge for anything more (which is where any payoff would come).

They're a bit f**ked.
