but he did ALWAYS look to play the ball short before resorting to the long ball. Hughes offered himself a couple of times for short passes but no-one else did, forcing him to play accurate long passes. Leon's movement was superb but if the balls would have been in the air, rather than to feet he wouldn't have won many.

Shackell is by far our best defender, but struggles to play as part of a unit, hopefully, with experience that will develop.
