I loved the 92-93 team...

...but the 88-89 team with Townsend and Crook in the middle, Dale out right and Flecky up front was my favourite.

And although we came closer to winning the title in 93, the 88-89 campaign had the added complication of a truly glorious cup run. From the Sutton win onwards I just had a right tingle about that run. I was CONVINCED we were going to win the Cup.

For goodness sake, we were in with a chance of the DOUBLE for most of that season!!!
