Its very strange that I am someone who has made a lot of money from gambling.
There is always part of me that has known that what I have done is not really productive to society so I chose to give my time/money to various charities.
Yes its self serving but it also helps others so.... there we go.

Virtually all the professional gamblers/ advantage players I know have some very interesting traits that are the antithesis of "gamblers"
They all hate "gambling", meaning making bets that are mathematically bad.
They only want to place money down when they have a strong probability of an advantage. Akin to investing.
We look at situations as arbitrage situations.
A lot of them have a great disdain for casinos/bookies so feel great pleasure in taking their money.
Having never been addicted to gambling I have always wondered if explaining the math behind gambling has any effect on otherwise reasonable people? I know with some people there are underlying problems with their lives that cause them to turn to gambling as an escape.
