there will be bad stuff happens that isn’t related to brexit, just as there will still be good stuff happens inspite of Brexit...... but brexit is unavoidably part of the macro economic climate that businesses take account of in their decision making. In this case perhaps it was the wider economic situation, or the switch from diesel that meant a factory needed to close, but it was the UK one they chose to close. I’ve a friend in a senior position in one of the employers organisations who in one of their bouts of brexit exasperation said:
“I know as a fact thousands of people will not have jobs as a direct result of this - even if we have no Brexit, the damage has already happened - it’s already much too late companies have made decisions and they will not reverse them now. Very bad time for our country 😱”.

We can quibble about the precise cause for individual decisions, but the general direction is clear...
