i think you can still have hope and joy in the Prem seasons as well

things like beating one of the big teams, having a decent cup run, watching a higher quality of player wearing the shirt, coming out on top in a relegation battle.

But I think the way football is structured these days, it will almost never be as much sustained fun as a Championship promotion season. Simply because in the Prem we are not going to be winning most weeks, like we can do at our best in the Championship.
