Unearthing gems...

I think it's quite hard to argue that the bulk of the stuff they're discussing will genuinely feed into the first eleven apart from very, very occasionally.

Of The four guys we've had break through this year, only cantwell has come through from being a youngun with us. Godfrey, Lewis and Aarons we snaffled from other teams (and then worked up, not to be sniffed at).

But all this stuff is important in building rapport and support in the area. I'm glad that we give a s**t about the community aspect of the club. It's really at the heart of what we should be here for.

And that all feeds into our broader success. Albeit obliquely.
