He is a free transfer and (supposedly) worth 40 million

£40 Mil over 4 years is about £200K per week. Ramsay has just been smart and induced a situation where the transfer costs effectively end up in his pay packet. If I were in his situation I would probably try to do the same - surprised more don't to be honest.
