Why for making one mistake?

You're not taking this in context. If you're sacked for making one error, we'd never be in a job more than a few days.

This board - Delia and MWJ especially - have put one foot wrong. Sticking with Nigel.

Nigel has repeatedly made school boy errors on a frequent basis and look never to learn.

This isn't about accountability - it's setting right who or what is causing the most problem. Yes, we know the board are wrong - that's why the campaigning is occuring, to try and persuade them otherwise. It is the board we campaign and lobby to change their minds, not to Nigel to try and get him to resign.
