I think most of the electorate are sick to death with Brexit

They voted out of the EU (I disagree with that but accept it as a democratic vote by the population) and now want it done and dusted. A deal was sorted - not ideal but it never would be - but for self and party interest the MP's have now rejected it. I genuinely think most of the electorate in this country wanted the deal ratified however potentially bad it may be for the country. We won't get anything better (but that wasn't why it was rejected....)
