Is there a history of problems between WBA & our fans?

On the way to the ground I thought there was a hell of a lot of police and afterwards.
I wasn't close to the divide in the stand, but it looked like there was police in it from top to bottom, which surprised me as never seen that at any away game of ours.
I did hear someone say coins were thrown during the game, but don't know if that was true.
