Feel a bit sorry for the second stringers

They will have been desperate to impress. Bloody hard luck on them that Hanley got himself sent off. Had we stayed at 11 you feel we would have won that easily, and then we might be waxing lyrical about our strength in depth and some of them might have shone. It is harder to shine when you're a man light for such a period of time.

We still did well though, and had the best of the game even still. I thought Pompey were very limited. League 1 must be proper rubbish if they're one of the best outfits.

So maybe we shouldn't be too tough on the reserves. One positive is they can all play the same style as our first teamers. You can see why when 1 or 2 changes are made, it doesnt disrupt our style.

Shame to get knocked out, but happy that Farke went for it final few. Better to live a day as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm!
