When he first played for us I said he looked great - just needed a defender in behind him

Someone else said this some weeks ago but it's a sign of how far we've come: despite being a defender who rarely, well, defends, he was one of our better/most popular players; now we all really like the guy but there would be a massive collective facepalm if he started tomorrow.
