Could just accept somebody has a different opinion...

And that there are loads of people who voted brexit who keep their mouths shut as their peers blah on about how stupid, racist etc brexit voters are. World would be boring if all had same views. Just listen or go out of the room for a bit, inwardly disagree and then accept they're probably lovely people but just disagree with you on this issue, that is their right and you won't brow beat them into submission.
