Watching Ken Burns’ “The War”. For all the yanks’ bleating about winning the war on their

own, it struck me that many stories in this documentary end with american units getting slaughtered. So I did some research and discovered that they had something like 30% more casualties than the U.K. in the Second World War despite not bothering to join a battle until 1942.

That strikes me as a bit of a s**t performance.

No wonder they decided to have a go at Dresden to improve the “goal difference” a bit.
