I’d seen snippets & very brief summaries so it was good to see the full speech. No one comes out of this process well, both the very wealthy elite that have pushed Brexit, and the technocratic & not so wealthy elites that are all for greater integration. Having the Brexit slogans of ‘taking back control’ seemingly embedded into a large proportion of the populace’s psyche, it’s hard to see how that gets properly deconstructed without accusations of ‘Project Fear’ providing the equivalent of putting fingers in ears and singing la, la, la, la very loudly. I suppose the short summary is that ‘we are stuffed’ :-)
