Lamberts team felt like lower league sloggers who were massively outperforming due to willpower.
I mean ffs Steve Morison briefly looked like a premier league player.

When that side was disbanded virtually none of them went on to do anything.

You feel with this team some of the players could be in the champions league in a year or two or at very least a decent premiership team (whether or not that is us).

Lambert kept us up and it was an incredible achievemnet. I think he knew he couldn’t do it a second year though which is why he jumped.
