the govt is reaping the harvest of calling a vote for its own purposes

without doing any preparation whatsoever before putting something so important to a public vote.

There was no real explanation of what the vote would specifically mean, how it would would be done or what we would do once out of the EU should the leave vote win.

They arrogantly assumed that remain would win and they'd cunningly win over all the Ukip and far right elements and come out of it smelling rosy. Instead they've been exposed as a bunch of shysters and ill-prepared fools leading the country towards economic disaster while they fight amongst themselves against a backdrop of an irreparably split nation where the Union itself is now at risk.

Prepare properly, draw up remain and leave plans and then call an informed referendum. I think it's the only sensible way forward. It's far from ideal, but the current alternatives are unthinkably terrible
