Success, or not,

Looks like it's seeded in the succession planning really (and with a fair bit of luck...).

Lambert, for all his good work, didn't really put anything in place to soften the decline of Holt.

Which meant we went into hoots second year needing a completely new front line (not absolving him from blame either...).

I remember start of that season thinking blimey, we've got a new front 4 (including wingers...). Then you're just hoping it'll all gel.

The radical restructure we've had in playing squad in the last year and a half is remarkable. I'd hope that we're still on the lookout for maddison /godfrey type gems to provide that depth and succession planning. (alongside our academy obvs..)
