Hard work on its own will achieve nothing just as skill and coaching ability on its own will achieve nothing.

We've seen from his outbursts against anyone who shows any hint of flair or skill that he wants work and nothing else.

As you say, this has been going on since that very first Premiership game. Even our "good run" towards the end of last season came about thanks to a hugely fortunate 3-2 win over West Brom and a freak goal in the win over Newcastle.

And Skipper has done far, far more harm than good with his brainless outburst - something I believe he was advised against by some at CR.
