motorist decides to risk overtaking a cyclist on a blind bend just to get to the traffic lights quicker and it's just a matter of time before two c**t motorists do that thing at the same time and people will lose their lives irregardless of if they are motorists or cyclists. a f**king insane mindset.
if you really think this is an "us and them" argument then sorry but you are a f**king tool. There is real tangible benefits for EVERYONE that emanate from cycling, people get healthier which helps take the load of the NHS which means more money elsewhere in that system. The NHS is so strapped my wife has been waiting since June to hear back from the result of her last scan. Fucking June.
The environment is helped because there is one less car on the road, local businesses get patronised more.
The benefits that cycling give help everyone in society; less of your tax is chucked at unhealthy f**kers; getting outdoors benefits peoples mental and physical health and their wellbeing.
I will happily sit behind a cyclist or group of cyclists, f**king good on them lads and lasses and when eventually it's safe to overtake I will treat them the same way I would a motor car and give them as much space as I possibly can. I don't do this for any other reason that I think this is how people should behave toward each other. It costs me f**k all but a few seconds of my time.
Sure some cyclists engage in bad behaviours but they don't have, as others have pointed out, anywhere near the catastrophic effects that motor vehicles can cause. No apologies for the rant, have a f**king tremendous rest of your life.
