After approx 18 months of nagging by my two boys, we finally caved and got a kitten. Just a bog standard short hair mog, but very sweet and playful.

Turns out number two son has an allergy to cats. Nasty red rash round his neck, inside of arms, back of legs. Got some antihistamines from the doc. He can’t take those indefinitely though.

So it looks like Tilly might have to go elsewhere on a permanent basis. Much wailing and protest from both my fellas. Number 1 son reckons the better solution is to get rid of Number 2 son and keep the cat, but I’ve explained that’s probably a non starter.

Any advice on managing cat allergies?
