Thing is, being a little bit worse than the opposition every game is pretty easy to do

I had a similar conversation with a burton fan after their 0-0 draw at Carrow Road. They played well by their standards that night and eked out a point. Their fan took that as a sign that they could beat lesser teams and stay up, but my point was that it’s far harder to take the initiative and force a win against a team you should / could beat, than it is to take a backs to the wall point.

My long winded way of saying they lack the quality to actually win matches. As you say, they’ll get draws, but they’ve not got the quality to actually beat decent teams in my opinion.

What do they need? 39 points from 28 games? Not that tough an ask really, but it would equate to 64 points in a season which is normally what is required for 10th / 12th. They could do it, but if they don’t start scoring points at the required rate, they could easily be doomed before Xmas.
