I just find it very annoying when people suggest that 17m voters were the mere unthinking instruments of a foreign loon. Maybe that's just what they actually thought, for better or worse? The EU has never been popular in this country, and the result was always going to be very close - as it would have bene had it been held at any time in the last 20 odd years. At least credit voters with having made up their own minds - insofar as any of us ever do ...
