there wouldn't necessarily be a GE

if May's govt loses a vote of no confidence then effectively Corbyn gets 14 days in which to cobble together his coalition. Only if that fails to pass a confidence motion does a GE get called

I can't see the Tories letting a GE get called given the real prospect of a labour majority.

I think they'd let Corbyn limp along with a minority government and lick their wounds whilst Labour go through the exact same process that the Tories have been going through

(and for that reason, I'm not sure Labour are best served by forcing a no confidence vote in May as I don't think Corbyn really wants to be left holding the baby on this one...)
