Wales & Scotland have an element of FPTP

Their Additional Member System gives one vote on a FPTP basis and one vote on a PR basis. The PR system they use is party lists (ditto the EU elections)

Not sure NI's system of STV lends itself to an EU referendum. Nor really the STV process for the PCCs - the system would be overly weighted towards a non-Remain result as some Remainers will inevitably mark a Leave second option because they misunderstand the process and think they have to. So yes I do think it's too confusing in a 3 way decision like this where the 3 options are not equal.

I think you need two separate binary questions, "In or Out", and then "If Out, Deal or No Deal?"

(Arguably we've had the in/out one already but I can't see how any new referendum gets through Parliament without Remain as an option)

And should EEA/EFTA be an option as a Deal alternative?

On a tangent I can't really see how you can have a credible public vote on the Deal as barely anyone is going to read the full 585 page document so it can't be a properly informed vote given how rushed the process will be (in the same way the original one wasn't a properly informed vote)

All in all it's a mess.
