as they've backed themselves into a corner, but they absolutely should grasp this with both hands as they get the best of both worlds.

as for the rest, it's all a bit saddening really. This is how membership ends - not with a bang, but a whimper.

(Aside from a few utterly meaningless provisions, and a general wordiness in places, it's not a bad document. Dripping with blood, sweat and tears of an army of trainees and paralegals - haven't spotted a single typo so far. Probably the most expensively drafted contract I've ever read.)
