even a new pair of the same brand can fit different and then you've got to re-parcel the bastards, cycle up to the general post office pay the P&P to return it and wait for another set to arrive possibly repeating the same multiple times. Ridiculous get up to a shop with a wide range of brands and styles and a little bit if investment at the outset saves a lot of footache later on. Ditto; helicopters, petrol, spectacles and prosthetic limbs.
