and Curran and (to a degree Butler). If can get to 270ish here then all is not lost.

Who would think that batting patiently, sensibly and conventionally would bring rewards in test match cricket.

Awful from the top order once again. Tactical approach wrong and once again England struggle in the first innings of an overseas test series having had sub standard warm up fixtures.
