There are obviously lots of problems with his patronising attitude towards the current unrest. The fans obviously should keep their opinions to themselves, seems to be his attitude. Never mind the fact that they pay the manager?s and players? wages?
But what on earth is that soul-bearing paragraph about his own role all about? He basically admits that he is just a club lackey when he says: ?And you play that game right up until the moment you get the silent nod from either the dressing room or the boardroom, invariably both. At that point, it's time to do the ?Et tu, Brut??? bit and stab the bloke in the back.? What is he saying? That he is loyal to the manager until he is told not to be by the players or the board? That might be seen to undermine his own current support for Worthy. He is fully behind Nigel until told otherwise. What a bizarre admission.
