When my son rang to say “guess who is the new Ipswich manager, its so bad?” I said,

Grant? Wes? Russell Martin? Alex Neil? Iwan? Huckerby? He said “no much worse” and I couldn’t think of anyone that would bother me that much. When he told me, I thought, well good for them and him, that could be exciting. Like OG said, he changed the way we all felt after a run of very poor managers, and his team performed in a way that got everyone on board, similar to the current feelings that most people have apart the current Farke team. And then he left, and he has never enjoyed the success or love again.

Also, I realise that I don’t actually hate Ipswich, only in a kind of pantomime villain way, I dislike Villa, Wolves, Coventry and various other teams on a temporary or permanent much more, and also half of my distant ancestors came from Suffolk.

So good luck to them and him, I hope he has a measure of success again, but of course I hope that they continue to lose to us on a regular basis.
